Terms for using ProfileAnchor
ProfileAnchor provides public local-business discovery pages, search tools, review features, and business-owner profile management tools. By using ProfileAnchor, you agree to follow these Terms and any policies or guidelines that apply to the features you use.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service are a legal agreement between you and ProfileAnchor regarding your access to and use of ProfileAnchor websites, public business profiles, search pages, review features, business-owner tools, and related services that link to these Terms.
By accessing or using ProfileAnchor, creating an account, submitting a review, claiming a business profile, adding business information, or using any related feature, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use ProfileAnchor.
If you use ProfileAnchor on behalf of a company, business, organization, or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. What ProfileAnchor Provides
ProfileAnchor is a local-business discovery and profile platform. The service may include public business listings, business profile pages, category pages, city pages, search results, review tools, claim tools, business-owner dashboards, photos, FAQs, ratings, contact details, and other local discovery features.
- Consumers can search for businesses, browse categories, view public business profiles, and interact with available review or discovery features.
- Business owners can create, claim, verify, update, and manage eligible business profiles through available tools.
- ProfileAnchor may display business data from owner submissions, public sources, user submissions, third-party sources, data providers, and platform-generated organization tools.
- ProfileAnchor may change, improve, remove, suspend, or discontinue features at any time as the platform evolves.
Important: ProfileAnchor is not a party to transactions between consumers and businesses. We do not provide the services listed by businesses and we do not guarantee any business, review, price, availability, quote, result, or customer experience.
3. Accounts, Business Claims, and Verification
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and promptly update account or business information when it changes.
Business claims
A business profile may be claimed only by an authorized owner, employee, agent, or representative of the business. ProfileAnchor may require verification before approving a claim or granting access to business-owner tools.
Account responsibility
You are responsible for activity under your account. Do not share access with unauthorized people, impersonate another person or business, or claim a profile you are not authorized to manage.
Claim decisions
ProfileAnchor may approve, reject, review, pause, reverse, or require additional verification for a business claim if we believe it is necessary to protect the business, users, platform integrity, or public accuracy.
4. Business Profiles and Listing Information
Business profiles on ProfileAnchor may contain business names, categories, addresses or service areas, phone numbers, websites, hours, photos, ratings, reviews, FAQs, descriptions, social links, and other listing information.
Some profiles may be unclaimed. An unclaimed profile does not mean the business has endorsed ProfileAnchor, created the profile, verified the information, or approved every detail shown.
- Business owners are responsible for ensuring information they submit or manage is accurate, lawful, current, and not misleading.
- ProfileAnchor may edit formatting, normalize categories, remove duplicate content, correct obvious errors, or organize information to improve platform quality.
- ProfileAnchor may remove or restrict profile content that appears inaccurate, abusive, unlawful, spammy, unsafe, deceptive, infringing, or inconsistent with these Terms.
- Public business information may remain visible, searchable, and indexable unless removed or modified according to ProfileAnchor policies and applicable law.
5. Reviews, Ratings, Photos, FAQs, and User Content
ProfileAnchor may allow users, reviewers, and business owners to submit reviews, ratings, photos, FAQs, answers, descriptions, profile details, messages, and other content. You are responsible for the content you submit.
By submitting content to ProfileAnchor, you grant ProfileAnchor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, modify for formatting, create excerpts from, and otherwise use the content in connection with operating, promoting, improving, and displaying ProfileAnchor.
Review standards
Reviews should reflect genuine experiences and should not be fake, paid, coerced, copied, defamatory, threatening, discriminatory, obscene, spammy, or submitted to manipulate ratings.
Business-owner responses
Business owners may be able to respond to reviews or manage profile content. Responses must be professional, truthful, and must not reveal private personal information, threaten reviewers, or abuse the platform.
Moderation
ProfileAnchor may review, reject, remove, limit, label, or display content at our discretion. We are not required to publish any content and we are not responsible for preserving copies of removed content.
6. Acceptable Use Rules
You agree not to misuse ProfileAnchor or interfere with the experience of other users, businesses, or the platform.
- Do not submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or impersonating information.
- Do not post fake reviews, review your own business as a customer, pay for undisclosed reviews, or coordinate review manipulation.
- Do not scrape, harvest, copy, or extract ProfileAnchor data except as allowed by written permission or standard search-engine indexing rules.
- Do not upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, bypass security, overload systems, probe vulnerabilities, or interfere with platform operations.
- Do not use ProfileAnchor to harass, threaten, defame, discriminate, spam, or violate the rights of others.
- Do not submit content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other legal rights.
- Do not use ProfileAnchor for unlawful, deceptive, unsafe, or abusive purposes.
We may suspend accounts, remove content, restrict profile access, reverse claims, block users, or take other action if we believe these rules have been violated.
7. Paid Features, Promotions, and Subscriptions
ProfileAnchor may offer paid features, subscriptions, profile upgrades, promotional tools, advertising products, or other business services. Specific pricing, renewal terms, cancellation rules, and billing details will be provided where those features are offered.
If you purchase a paid feature, you agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize ProfileAnchor or its payment processors to charge applicable amounts, taxes, and fees. Unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase, fees are non-refundable to the extent permitted by law.
Paid features do not guarantee search ranking, review volume, business leads, customer calls, AI search placement, map visibility, revenue, or any specific business outcome.
8. Third-Party Links, Maps, Websites, and Services
ProfileAnchor may link to business websites, maps, social profiles, booking tools, payment providers, analytics tools, third-party platforms, and other external services. Those third parties are not controlled by ProfileAnchor.
We are not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, availability, security, policies, transactions, representations, or customer experiences. Your use of third-party services is governed by the terms and policies of those third parties.
9. Intellectual Property
ProfileAnchor, including our design, layout, logos, branding, software, code, features, databases, page structure, and platform materials, is owned by ProfileAnchor or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, sell, reverse engineer, modify, distribute, or create competing products from ProfileAnchor materials except as permitted by these Terms or by written permission.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit to the extent you owned it before submitting it. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights needed to submit and display that content on ProfileAnchor.
Copyright concerns
If you believe content on ProfileAnchor infringes your rights, contact us with enough detail for us to review the issue, including the content location, your contact information, and a description of the rights you believe are affected.
10. Disclaimers
ProfileAnchor is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that ProfileAnchor will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, current, complete, or free of harmful components.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, legality, quality, availability, or usefulness of business listings, reviews, ratings, photos, prices, hours, addresses, categories, search results, or other information shown on ProfileAnchor.
We do not endorse or guarantee any business listed on ProfileAnchor. Consumers should use their own judgment before hiring, visiting, contacting, purchasing from, or sharing information with a business.
ProfileAnchor may help improve the organization and presentation of public business information, but we do not guarantee search ranking, AI search inclusion, traffic, calls, leads, sales, reviews, or revenue.
11. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProfileAnchor and its owners, employees, contractors, partners, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, reputational harm, or loss of goodwill arising from or related to your use of ProfileAnchor.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProfileAnchor's total liability for any claim related to the service will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid to ProfileAnchor for the service giving rise to the claim during the three months before the claim or one hundred dollars.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold ProfileAnchor harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your business profile information, your use of ProfileAnchor, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights or laws.
12. Suspension, Termination, and Changes
ProfileAnchor may suspend or terminate access to accounts, business-owner tools, claimed profiles, reviews, content, or features if we believe there has been a violation of these Terms, a risk to users or businesses, a legal concern, a security issue, or misuse of the platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we update them, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of ProfileAnchor after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, content licenses, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute-related provisions.
13. Governing Terms and Disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute related to ProfileAnchor should first be raised with us so we can try to resolve it informally.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the forum, venue, and procedure for resolving the dispute will be determined by applicable law and any additional written agreement that applies to your account, subscription, or business relationship with ProfileAnchor.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
